Lenny picked out names and I like them enough so I think we are using:


boy: Dominick John (D.J.)

girl: Emily Elizabeth

I like Sophia Rae (meaning intellect and grace) for a girl but he refuses to use it, he hates it

My fh does not like the name LUCA at ALL....My ffil's name is Luke...Which is a name I loved. But I jsut love the name Luca. There is no reason why we cant name him LUCA and call him Luke. Do you agree? haha

I think we may find a way to convince them our name choices or no chance for future children

Kayla is so cute. I like Isabella too but its DH's best friends daughter name.

If we were to have a boy his name would be Tristan James.

For a girl, I'm not sure. I love Alexis (or Alexa). We both like Emma. Catherine is a family name, but I think it's a bit too ordinary. But I think I would like the middle name to be Louisa after my grandfather (Lucian - I just couldnt' bring myself to call a boy that, but I like Louisa for a girl)

I also like Devon for a girl, but DH hates that. and I like Mariah too, but our last name is Lyner and Mariah Lyner just sounds stupid!!

I know I'm going to have a problem with this one...

FH's mom grew up very italian in a very italian family - then married an Irish-Scottish guy. She had a beautiful italian last name, and then was stuck with a very undesirable one (people ALWAYS make fun of it, and hey, it'll be my name too soon enough...)

So FMIL wants one of her children (she has 2- my FH and his sister, who's married already, but dirt poor and unable to provide for herself- needless to say, there's no baby in the near future there.) to name their first daughter Christiana, pronounced Kristi-Anna (her maiden name.)
It is a beautiful name, but not followed by FH's last name! FSIL married a nice italian boy, it goes nicely w/ his name, but she says she's not having kids.
I'm terrified that my daughter will be stuck with a horrid name! I refuse to do that to her. Maybe I'll be lucky and have boys!!!

Here's MINE AND FH choices for baby names:
= Alyssa, Amanda, Angela
= Christopher, Christian (Both Chris for short)
luckily, we agree!

Anyone else's FMIL going to fight something wicked to have a grandchild with her name?!?! LoL
