Makeup? I'm having my trial in a couple of weeks and I was wondering was people are paying for their day-of makeup? It's $75 for the trial, and she charges $250 for the bride, and $150 for each additional person. I'm seriously considering hiring her for the whole day though. (Her day rate is $1500, and she will do the bride and up to 8 people. She doesn't charge for anyone under 16, so that includes 2 more junior bridesmaids). It's not really 'in my budget' to pay for everyone's makeup etc., nor do I know if everyone even WANTS real makeup done (except my MOH who already expressed interest), but I'm really concerned about crying and destroying my makeup. I mean, I KNOW I am going to cry at our ceremony. I just know it. I almost cry just THINKING about it! And the last thing I want is to hold back because I'm afraid to ruin my makeup and then not be able to fix it well before my wedding reception. Or cry and ruin it, and then not be able to fix it well enough and look shiitty at my reception. So if I pay her for the day, she comes at 2 pm and stays til 9 o'clock. She does everyone's makeup including my mom, and can re-do mine after the ceremony. I really think I just need to squeeze that money out and do it. Thoughts?
i have a hair/makeup trial tomorrow together and its $100...then the day of for both is $275

Re: What did/are you paying for...
I think it is unnecessary. I expressed the same concerns to my make up person..and I do cry sometimes thinking about it she told me with the mascara she will do the last coat water proff to prevent smudges and i am buying the press powder from her she is going to use for me for any touch ups (it a professional photo studio so its the make up they use to retouch on photo shoots) she told me when i cry to just roll a tissue under my eyes to catch the tears so they dont roll down my face. (get a hankie to hold at your ceremony) then re touch witha press powder.

i don't think you will need her for the entire day, maybe just one touch up after the ceremony and you should be good!

I'm not hiriing someone for makeup..I think that it's just a waste of too much money! I will have my MOH do my makeup... we'll start playing around with styles and all that closer to date... I'll only be hiring for hair.

I agree it's a waste of money........think of what else you can buy with that. Your bridal party can help you with touch up's after if you need it.

I think it's pricey too but I don't wear a lot of makeup on a regular basis and I need a pro. Besides, I really want airbrushing and it's not like I can do that at home.

Re: What did/are you paying for...
I paid $135 day of (with lashes). I cried a few times and the waterproof mascara that was put on me really held up! So I'd say make sure you just get waterproof eye makeup put on, bring some face powder in case your face gets shiny.. and put that extra money towards something else

Check out Yelenia Mazzei she will do the whole day for $1000. She is amazing...she just did my friends wedding on Friday and did her whole family as well.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I know it's a lot of money. I guess we'll just have to see when it gets closer to the wedding, what I will do....I think I'll have to crazy glue kleenex to my eyeballs haha.
