I'm actually taking the camera into the city and photographing any numbers I see. They can be street signs, or address signs, license plates or subway signs. . .

I just wanted a little 'taste of NY' at the wedding.

I thought it might be kinda whimsical and fun.

We took a ten mile walk around the city to collect restaurant fronts of places we hold significant that we ate at and my friend is going to put numbers and little stories on them...we are using the temple's frames...

This sounds REALLY cool! You could use building numbers, street numbers, etc. I'd love to see pics when you do them!

Sure thing. . .weather permitting, I think I'll hit the streets this sunday. I'll photoshop them all, and post pics those pics for you!

Another idea that FH had, which I think is a bit too informal, was to do Mets and Yanks jerseys with numbers. He's a die hard Mets fan, and I'm a die hard yanks fan. The idea, although cute at first just seemed a little too informal for our event.

We are using the Hall's numbers but on the tables there will be an easel with a page from the guest book album that will have pictures I took of my sister and her FH. The guests will be invited to write their good wishes on the paper surrounding the picture and on the back and I will put them back into their album for my sis and FBIL. This way instead of having your typical guestbook they will have a pictures guestbook that they can display and look at.

We also used some of our e-pictures in black & white and other pics, people actually wanted to take them home with them and some did...im not really sure why they would want a pic of me and DH but nontheless people said they were a nice touch:

I don't have a pic here, but I had White Aisle, who did our invitations, print matching table #s. They had the number in the middle and our Art Nouveau swoosh around the edges. She only wanted a buck or so apiece, so I thought 'what the hell?' They looked quite pretty. They were on heavy cream cardstock with torn edges, and we had them held up by those little clip things provided by the hall.
