I am on South Beach/Atkins right now - but personally I think it would be too restricting to do for such a long time. I have had great success with Weight Watchers in the past.

Weight Watchers combined with South Beach works well for me.

When I really stuck to it I lost about 20 pounds in under 3 months, then I got sloppy and kind of maintained so now I am hoping to lose another 20 by my wedding.

Weight Watcher is probably the best. If you have time I would recommend hiring a personal trainer. I did that and in 9 weeks I lost almost 30 lbs. It really shows you how to exercise correctly. Now I am doing the program on my own and seeing results. It has definitely been the best for me. Good luck!!!

Re: WHAT DIET ARE YOU ON????

I only had to lose like 15 pounds and i did a little south beach type of thing allowing myself to have one sweet a day. It worked for me. and so far I have kept this weight off for about two months. I go for healthier carbs. limiting the amount of carbs.
except now that i am 11 days till my wedding, i am finding that my metabolism has sped up because i have to eat more to maintain my current weigth(I dont want my dress to be too big!)

LAdies, thank you. I think I will try the WW. I did it a couple of years ago and lost 20lbs. I really would like to loose 40lbs. I think If I start now, I will be on my way....Its about 38 weeks away, so I figure 1 to 2 lbs a week and then I am there!!!

I just have to keep motivated.... ANY IDEAS>

Weight watchers and a membership to the gym has helped me. Good luck!

Re: WHAT DIET ARE YOU ON????

I lost about 30 lbs in 4-5 months on LA Weightloss. It cost me about $1100 since I also bought their bars, but I think it's almost affordable if you don't. Since I've plateaued on LA, I'm starting South Beach on Wednesday. FH's co-worker has lost 23 lbs and her husband lost 33 lbs in about 4 months. Hope this helps!

What diet haven't I been on since becoming engaged...
I lost 10 lbs on WW, I lost 35 on Atkins, tried the South Beach diet but realized that it was pretty much the same as Atkins so I went back to Atkins, I did the Slim in Six I couldn't stick to it, so now here I am with 4 months to my wedding and wanting ( and needing ) to lose another 15 to 20 lbs and back on Atkins. Hopefully all works well!
Best of luck to you in what ever you do

It might be easier if you forget 'dieting for the wedding' and eat healthy and exercise for YOU!

Re: WHAT DIET ARE YOU ON????

I am on a low carb/low fat diet. I was on Atkins for over 2 years and loved it, but now that I have to cook for someone else, I have to consider his dietary habits as well.

But I also just started working out 5 days a week.
