My sister has offered to buy me a nice camera for my shower gift as my camera is a few years old and dies on me every two seconds. And I obviously want to take honeymoon pics etc. Any recommendations? I want something fancy and good quality but digital also. SUGGESTIONS??!

I have an older canon SD 600, maybe 2yrs old, there have been a ton of models after this one, but i'd say any of the newer canon SD models are good.

I have the same camera - pics are great and the rechargeable battery seems to last forever !! They have another model now sd700 more megapixels (our friends has it but has problems with it )

we are waaaayyy behind, they are up to model 1000+ now, cannon brings out like 3 camera's a year....i luv ours though, it is so compact & very easy to use....the newer models have larger screens, they are really nice.

FH and I just got an SLR and this baby yesterday - can't wait to get it in the mail hopefully tomorrow!
if you are looking for a good point and shoot get the panasonic lumix with the leica lens. Leica lenses are the sharpest out there.. I just got one for my shower on Sat! I cannot wait to use it! Oh by the way, I am a photographer. Don't know if that make a difference. lol

I have a Canon powershot SD600 and it's a few years old but it works great. I love it! I think they make a newer model now and it's probably the same price. I think it was around $250. Good luck!
