i LOVE the olympus stylus cameras... there are a whole bunch of versions... they are great... plus i use them in the classroom and they have withstood much abuse from my students!

I would recommend the Canon Elph cameras 'cus they are small, nicely designed and most importantly they use compact flash cards instead of proprietary types of storage devices to hold your photos. Just don't get the Sony cameras. Let me know if you need further assistance. Try to go to amazon.com and type in canon elph and you'll find the reviews on a bunch of different models. HTH :)

canon elph power shot sd450. hands down, the most popular camera on this board [well, the elph power shot...regardless of exact model] and a GREAT camera.

Hnads down - The Kodak V610 -it's a dual lens small 10X optical zoom camera and takes great pics. It also has easy user friendly software. We got our a couple of months ago for our HM and we love it - fits into a pocket.

I asked a friend of mine who works at PC Richards about this recently. I gave him the list of top cameras off www.cnet.com, and he said either the Canon Powershot SD700 or A700, but the A700 was fine for the regular user - and about $100 less.

HIGHLY recommend the Olympus Stylus 720!!! It's shockproof and waterproof up to 10 feet... NO underwater case needed! DH was raving about this camera all during our honeymoon. We got amazing underwater pics and underwater video. I can't rave about this camera enough!

All of our HM pics (well 90% of them) were taken with this camera! See HM review post on Brides Review.

I have a Canon Powershot A95. I love it, it's a little big, but there's a lot of different models in the PowerShot family that are a lot smaller. They take a great picture too.

Otherwise the Elph is really good and the Olympus is nice because of its size

This is what we have. It takes great pics. Its not as small as the elph, but has more features. The elph is great if you just want a camera that you can slip into your pocket and go.
