What do I do?

What do I do?

I totally forgot to tip the wait staff after my wedding. I had a little problem with the car that was supposed to pick me up and I got so aggrivated at them that I forgot to tip them. I also forgot to take the top layer of my cake. Should I call them and apologize and send a check?

Isn't that included in the 'service charge'?

I think so. We didn't tip the wait staff.

It said it includes tip for Maitre'd- I thought we need to tip the waiters also

Am I the only one this seems backwards to?

We tipped the maitre'd and then the service charge included the tips for wait staff.

If that's the case though (and I would double check your contract or with your hall that it is) I'd call and explain the situation and see if they'll be able to give it to them now.

Now you got me thinking I have to double check the contract when I get home

We tipped the waitstaff before the event.

I used to work in catering on LI and the 'service charge' does not generally go to the staff. It is really misleading, I know.

Whenever I worked an event and received a little something extra it was always welcome and a great incentive.
