My FMIL just had her hip and part of of femur replaced. Just spoke to FSIL and she (FMIL) will not be attending the wedding. The Drs won't give her the OK.
I feel so bad for FH (he still doesn't know yet) and on top of that FSIL thinks FFIL may not come to the reception.
Do you think I should have someone (other than our Videographer) tape the wedding to then bring to show FMIL the day after the wedding

I think sending a video over with a nice message from you about how much they were missed would be really nice.
Are they tech saavy people? Maybe someone could email them clips and photos during the party?

Nope not tech savy at all...but I figure my mom will take lots of pics too so I can get them printed at CVS and bring a portable DVD for her to see at least the ceremony

could someone bring a laptop?
you could skype with her durring the ceremony. just leave the laptop in a seat in the front row.
then she can see it live, and you guys can even blow her a kiss as you walk back up the aisle!!!

Hey Vanessa- i dont know if you remember my MIL couldnt make it to my wedding. i dont know if this could be part of the plan (or if you have time) but Jerry and I decided to forgo the outside pictures and inbetween the ceremony and reception went to see his mom. We had the priest come with us and do a simple exchange of vows for her. We will never forget her face when we did this. She was able to see her only child get married.
