so my shower was last week- loads of fun and like everyone else my bm's made me a hat with the ribbons and bows from the gifts. is there something i'm supposed to do with this?? i thought i heard something about wearing it or carrying it at the rehersal?? does anyone know?? i thought it was kinda cool when i saw the pics of my mom at her shower and she was wearing a hat of bows and ribbons too! it's so neat to see how the old traditions are still carried out today.

Yeah that is generally what people do with them. Thats why mine is sitting safely in a bag. If you use another paper plate and make a cone on the bottom its easier to hold.

I specifically asked my sister to just make it a bouquet from the get-go, I'm really not interested in wearing it on my head for photo ops. I don't think she's going to listen to me

After using it for a rehearsal I have heard that people usually just keep all the ribbons and bows and use them for future gifts to other brides or birthdays, ect...

I threw my hat away. My friend also made a bow-boquest at the shower, so I'll bring that to the rehearsal.

Thank you for posting this! My shower was 6/27 and I saved my bow hat. I think I am going to use it for the rehearsal. I like that idea!
For my shower I had a 'bo-k'. A friend tied a live flower (w/ a water cap so it wouldn't die) with a nice ribbon bow and attached it to her gift. So that was my official shower bo-k!
