Re: what do i need for my first fitting?
I dont think you need anything...they give you a bra and a slip.
My bridal salon said I need everything shoes and undergarments, but I also was considering having cups sewn, but I might buy something and bring it with me just in case.

I have my first fitting next weekend, but I was told to bring my corset/bra, shoes, and veil so they could get all of my measurements.

I was told and did bring the slip, bra and shoes. You deff. need the shoes. If you buy a bra they can just sew cups into it. Thats what there doing for me.

I don't have my shoes yet but I am getting ballerina flats (slippers) do you think I really need my shoes since there is no heel anyway? My first fitting is tomorrow
I would say definitely bring your bra. They may have one to lend you if you dont have it by then?

Re: what do i need for my first fitting?
Im going to have my shoes & undergarments just so I know exactly how I will look/feel with everything all put together.
Shoes and slip, they need this to see how much (if any) they need to hem the dress. I think they give you a corset and then you can decide on that or the cups sewn in.

Definitely bring your shoes - if you can't find the right slip/bra, the salon can sell them to you. And if you have it, bring your jewelry to get an idea of how it looks with your dress.

Re: what do i need for my first fitting?
You ABSOLUTELY need your shoes - for the right height in the hem.
It is also best to have your own undergarments, because they are going to fit the dress to how the bra is holding you up. For example, the seamstress at the place where I got my dress did not like my bra, because in HER opinion it did not hold me up enough (the women in the lingerie store would have argued with her) I said too bad, because I liked it and more importantly, it was comfortable. I think she didn't like it because it made alterations more difficult for her, not because of how it fit me. So she ended up sewing cups in, even though I had a bra, since it held the shape of the dress better.
