Hi Ladies, Im so sad . Every weekend there has been SUCKY weather and I am scheduled to take my formal engagement pics in the city (thanks to Liweddings.com ) on Sat 11/30. I know it will be cold, so what do I wear??? Most of you ladies have taken them in the spring wearing light colors and khakis but this is more winter geared. The photographer has asked me to corrdinate outfits w/ my FI, not wear black (My FAVORITE color to wear ) or white. Any suggestions?????

My photographer asked us not to wear light colors (pastels). He said black was ok though! I wore black pants and a red and black tank top. FI wore khakis with a black shirt.
I think a chucky turtleneck would be really cute with black pants. Maybe you can get a matching scarf for some fun pictures!

I just took our e-pics 2 weeks ago and I wore jeans, a white shirt and a brown suede jacket that I kept on. My FH wore jeans and a beige sweater. It was cold and I was starting to just get better from being sick. I wasn't about to be out with just a sweater or something flimsy. I think as long as you wear something nice and you're comfortable, your pics will be beautiful!

Go for earthone colors.
A nice cream or camel colored sweater and a nice pair of slacks.

I love the idea of wearing burgandy-I think winter pics will be great-will you get your proofs in time to use it as a Christmas/E-pic? I wish ours were more wintery, I love them & would love to send them out for Christmas. You guys should coordinate but not match exactly. I like the scarf idea too......it could be fun. Will your pics be b&w? Why did your photog. say no to black or beige? just curious We wore beige(khaki) & white & it came out great in our pics. We had our 2 kids in some of ours & we coordinated, I'll send you our pic if you want. Good Luck

Thanks to all the suggestions!!! You ladies are great. Richsbride- My photgrapher said no white b/c it washes out in B&W photos. She is taking a total of about 60 pics. Half in color and half in b&w. She did say Black was O.K but not preferred. I should have them back by 12/15. I don't think it would be in time for X-mas cards but we'll see. At leats I'll have them for my Save the dates.

Definitely go for a red turtleneck and if you are sending x-mas cards, send them also! You FH could wear red also, or a nice beige! Good luck!
