So we have all heard the something borrowed, something blue thing, wearing a lucky penny in your shoe, writing names on the bottom of your shoe to see who gets married next, etc.
Are there any good luck type of traditions for the grooms?

I never heard of the writing names on the bottom of your shoe...what does that do? I think the groom just has to show up and not get trashed at the wedding. That's all I ask!

Agreed! But i know mine will be eating so frigin much that the alcohol wont effect him---lol

I think - but someone correct me if I am wrong - you write the names of all your bridesmaids on the bottom of your shoe, and the one that is still there at the end of the night gets married next or gets good luck or something like that....lol, not totally sure myself!

I never heard of anything for men. I never heard of the shoe thing either lol. I am so not wearing an uncomfortable penny in my shoe all day and night

The BM that's their all night? Either me or FH has been so trashed at the weddings we've had to leave so we've never been the last at weddings! And the penny won't fit in my shoes, they're sandal heels! Now that I think of it, FH thinks he finished his job after he gave me the ring! What else do they have left to do?

I think men should have more to do apparently they ask us to marry them and we get stuck with the hard stuff.....planning a wedding giving birth etc....

sorry for crashing.. i think thats right though... i'm pretty sure its a Turkish tradition... I think ts cute though so I might give it a try

the only groom tradition i know if is probobly not really a tradition but just something stupid the men in my family do the groom drinks beer out of the brides shoe.
or the groom drinks beer out of his best man's shoe
i dont know why. it's totally gross, and there is no way anyone is putting beer in my shoes!!
