Cocktail napkins
Matchbooks
Chinese slipper baskets
Bathroom baskets
Photo sharing cards
Customized invitations
Fancy menus
Fancy programs
Fancy placecards
Channa plaque

yeah, you don't need them ... i'm not having them either. menus aren't necessary either, IMO (i'm still not sure if i'll have them or not)

oh, one more thing that's nice to do but not necessary is the STDs ...

also, having a smaller bridal party can help cut costs

You can create your own STD and Photo Sharing cards.

For my STD I did them through Vista Print and for the photo sharing cards I bought thick cardstock and created the template in Word and then printed them at home. I used a paper cutter I got from target to cut them into a business card like shape. I bought a hole-puncher from ac moore and used that to attach them to my favor which was in an organza bag (both of which were purchased at wrap with us). You can def get away with doing things on the cheaper side.

I also had a beach wedding so FM if you have any questions or want to see any pics!

I also made my card box!!

Depending when you wanted to send STD's you could consider inserting a nice note in your Christmas cards (if you send Xmas cards). that alone saves on postage.

DIY cards. getting the kits which have all the pieces gathered for you might be the cheapest route on diy, rather than buying card stock etc.
ACMoore and Michael's have nice kits and you can save more using coupons!

I totally agree with that long list of not needed. we did n ot have any of them and none were missed. Give them good food and drinks and you'll be fine.

as to the comment about doing thiongs in that list as DIY, personally you have enough other things to deal with and more diy projects just add more stress. I would have amnesia about those kind of things.

I don't know if any one mentioned favors but you could probably omit them too. if you look at past chats alot of brides say that things they have received as guests were not really useful . . . and if you feel strongly about it you can find some inexpensive but thoughtful things to do. I made lollipops and printed tags for them all with stuff from Michael's and ACMoore with coupons for about $30 for 80.

Thank u for the advice, most of projects are DIY. I'm very craft, so I see it like, if I can do it myself y do i need to hire someone.

I DIYed my STDs and they came out great! They cost about .50 cents each! That was just the cost of the paper and the little rhinestones I put on 'em!
