DId you pick your caterer yet? Maybe putting the name of it there would sound better. JMO though... if you do Write ON LONG ISLAND... I like it though.

I think the wording you have is great, but I don't think it's necessary to put 'NY'. JMO.

You can just take the 'on' out and just say

June 26, 2004
Long Island, NY

or Roslyn, NY

I think On Long Island is more grammatically correct.

I would not put the location (reception hall) that info will be on the invitation.

I might add a line saying 'mark your calendars.' or something like that, so your guests know what it is. JMO

This may be picky, but there is just something about ON Long Island NY that stands out to me.
maybe In? I don't know.
I know people don't always know where Long Island is, but if they know you well enough to go to your wedding, I would hope they know you're in NY.
I would maybe put Roslyn, Long Island and take out the ON completely.
I hope that didn't confuse you more!

I don't think it should say ON either.....

I think it should just be:

June 26th, 2004
Long Island, NY

JMO....

I think it looks great.

My only nit pick is that I would put Calendar in the singular on the second mention (since you are referring to each indivdual guests calendar)

and I'd add a comma after Long Island and a period after 'to follow' and lowercase 'want'

There is something about the first line that doesn't flow with me....how about adding 'since'?
