What do u think of this song for our first dance??

It's by peter Cetera and Cher. I love it but FI is supposed to pick out our song. I'll have to hint it to him ;-)

Karina - that was the song my GF and her DH used....but they had been college sweethearts, dated for 3 years way back when. They broke up, she married someone else, divorced the someone else 6 yrs later, was sad and drunk one night and called up her ex (now DH) after 9 years....the first words out of his mouth were 'Are you married?' she said 'No. Not anymore.' He said 'when can I see you?'

They have now been married almost 2 years and have a beautiful baby boy....so the words to that song were especially poignant for them.

Hmmmmm, interesting point thrilled. The more I read it th more it sounds as if they were apart. FI and I have dated for 7 years but never drifted, LOL!! We have been thruogh alot (with family) but maybe it doens't apply to us

We were going to use that song. . .since we were on again off again so many times. . but he wants to use 'the search is over' because he was never ready to settle down but I was always right there.

I love that song, I think its so pretty I didnt know Cher sang it w. Peter Cetera!

I love the lyrics too. My FH does not pay any attention to song lyrics, thank God our wedding song is the first song we danced to and has been 'our' song for 8 years. So he's pretty much had to pay attention. Or else I would make him learn the lyrics w. a song sheet

K, just had to tell you that I heard this song this afternoon as I was getting my lunch! I stood there listening to it as people were pushing all around me to get food I said to my friend, did you know Cher sings this? She thought I was nuts.
