I've received them a year in advance, I have to say that I usually forget about them after that though. Maybe for oot I would , but I think 6 months is plenty of time for people to start planning, too far ahead & they will forget.

Re: What do we think about...
my cousin sent hers out a year ahead of time - it was fine, it was a magnet so it stayed in sight. Im probably going to send mine out in Nov making it 9 months ahead of time.

Re: What do we think about...
If it's a school break or holiday weekend, a year ahead is good. Otherwise, 8 months is plenty of notice. It's not bad if you send them early, just don't freak out if you think you need to do it asap

Re: What do we think about...
Up to a year ahead is great for out of town guests so they know to start looking up tickets, etc. However for most, 6 months is good. I have a lot of OOT'ers so I was going to do this Sept for a May wedding, but now the date is moving so I'm glad I didn't send them out too early!

We're trying to do a year, but that's fast approaching...but it's a holiday weekend so we want to give a lot of notice

Re: What do we think about...
I gave them out 11 months before at my engagement party.
they're a magnet, and everyone used them, so it was like a constant reminder.
plus once prince william & kate anounced their date, NOBODY forgot when my wedding was

Re: What do we think about...
I did mine a year in advance since it's a popular date. Plus it's a magnet so people just stick in on their fridge so they won't forget

Re: What do we think about...
i agree that a year is fine. i want to give my OOT guests plenty of notice to book flights, hotel rooms and get time off of work.
