I'm having trouble finding what I want- or even articulating it for that matter. I'd like to find a cathedral veil and put appliques on the train...
has anyone ever made a DIY veil or know anyone who has? Would love to hear about it!
otherwise, I figure I should just go to Barron's....

Go to Barrons!!!! lol That's something I wouldn't want to play around with as a DIY project, I'd be too nervous that it would fall apart!! lol

If you go to Barrons make sure you bring: 1. Picture of entire dress 2. Picture of any bead work on dress 3. Fabric swatch for dress in order to ensure accurate match

I agree. Barrons was awsome with matching my tiara to my dress. They had the most beautiful veils there too!

Ya know, I went to Lillette's the other day to ask about how to order a swatch. They said Maggie doesn't do that, they only provide the swatches to the dress dealer. Is that just b.s. you think? She also said they wouldn't need a swatch cuz 'diamond white is diamond white'
Ya know, that is kinda sorta what I'm looking for...but I really only want the appliques on the very bottom...hmmm but this is a start! Thanks!

Yup went there today and if I didn't find a veil I love just as much but for cheaper I would get mine there. But yes bring all items listed above.

i thought about doing one. my mom is pretty crafty and she said that shed never be able to 'finish' the edge.....if you are looking for a veil i have one that didnt match the color of my dress. its a finger tip length with a blusher (so its 2 teirs/layers) I would use it but my dress is ivory and the veil is diamond white...fm me if you are interested.
