I'm angry that they beat the guy for no reason...While it states they WERE going to steal a car, the attackers had no idea they were...they did it just to do it.

They are calling it a race crime.. its just awful. I heard about it last night. I don't understand why some people are so intolerant of others.. and how they can just be so horrible to each other. What is wrong with some people?

Yep, my sis works in the ER. Why is that name so familiar (minucci?). This is just like that attack by the bridge years ago. Unbelievable. Actually, you didn't hear about it on the news, but a Sikh man was brutally beaten in richmond hill a few months back. I posted about it here, but I don't think you were on the site yet.

The fact is a lot of people ARE intolerant, expecially in Howard Beach, where you never saw ANY black people until recently (sorry, it's true). The fact that the guys were going to steala car amy make it betetr in some people;s minds, but if those whit gusy had the time to go get another car, a baseball bat and firneds, they had time to call the police. I hope they REALLY throw the book at them. I don't know exactly what the hate crime laws are in NY State, but I hope they are harsh. They could have killed him. Every time I hear this I think of Matthew Shepard and what his poor parents went through

Speaking of neighborhood's image, a few weeks ago these was a whole to-do at Gold's Gym where some guy was hitting on some other guy's girlfriend or something, so they guy went outside and smashed the guy's BMW with a baseball bat. OMG It looked like the car had been hit on all sides by an SUV. I couldn't believe the amount of damage done to that car. Every single part of it was destroyed. People are sch idiots.

That name is familiar...I know who that kid is, but I also know who the other one is too, that they are looking for..I think I heard about that guy in Richmond Hill, horrible.
You are correct about HB, sorry, but it is true. The majority is only white people, and once someone out of that race comes into the neighborhood, it's a big thing, as you can see from this event. You are right, if they had the time to go back and a bat, they had time to call the cops.
