My Mom is Grammy, my deceased maternal Grandmother was Nanny, and her Husband, also deceased, was Pop Pop. I am known to Grandson as Nanny, and my Husband is Pop, or Poppy.

I used to call my maternal granfather - Papa Anibal

I call my moms mother 'Grandma Angie' or 'Angie Cakes' haha my brothers came up with that b/c she likes to eat cake and cookies And my dads mother we call 'Grandma Pepe' cause she used to have this really annoying dog when i was younger whos name was Pepe lol
But i lately have just been saying 'Gram'

Funny you posted this thread, we were just discussing this at work yesterday! A co-worker was upset about what her MIL wants her newborn to call her! Anyway, I call my paternal grandma-Abuela and paternal grandpa-Papavan ( I guess us grandkids combined papa and his first name Ivan into one and it stuck!) My maternal grandma I call ma-short for grandma and maternal grandpa-grandpa.

Abuelita is just spnish for grandma.
Papa Anibal....Anibal was my granfather's first name so we just combined it with Papa.

All of my grandparents are deceased. I called my mom's parents Grandma & Grandpa. My dad's mother passed away before I was born but I would have called her Nonna. My dad's father was Nonno. Those are the Italian forms of grandma and grandpa.

my daughter calls my mom grammy.. some combination of mommy and grandma she made up when she was like 2..
