We use that new Orange Glo stuff for hardwood floors. Very shiny, but VERY slippery!!!!

sorry to hijack the post, but for those of you who said you use amonia or vingear, does it disturb the wax or polish finish? do you then rewax from time to time? thanks

Murphy's Oil Soap

Was told by the guy who refinished our floors that Murphy's is a No-No.

I have basically just used a regular Swiffer on the floor .. but our floors don't get much traffic.

Water with vinegar if nec.

Apparently we're supposed to use this lemon oil once a year to keep the wood from drying out (floors & furn) but I don't remember the name. I think it starts with a 'W' and looks old fashioned...

I use amonia, it does not have any adverse affect at all. I used it for almost 3 years on the floors in my last home and everyone who came through loved them!

I would not use Murphy's oil - that strips the varnish off

Where can you find that??? (Wilberts Lemon Oil)

And are your floors water-based or oil-based?

Ours were done water-based.

Anyone ever use the Orange glo products. They have a cleaner and polisher in one and now they have a new cleaning system. I am curious to try them (I have water based poly too). Any body used any of these?
