if the RSVP date comes and goes and you're still waiting to hear from people? It's not looking good over here - I think we're missing half with only a week left till the due date....

Get on the phone - We have already given my father that responsibility when the time comes - I don't understand why people cannot mail the back - the stamp is already on the envelope

if you can infer from conversation that they're coming, count them in (ie: your MOH or BM). Otherwise, call them and ask! If you'e embarrassed by the awkwardness, don't be. Shame on them for not replying.

MY FIRST DUE DATE CAME AND PAST AND PEOPLE ARE STILL SENDING IN THE RESPONSE. THE SECOND BATCH I SENT FROM LIST B ARE RESPONDING MUCH FASTER...I AM GIVING EVERYONE UNTIL THE SECOND WEEK IN JUNE AND IF THERE IS NO RESPONSE THEY BETTER NOT SHOW UP

Time to make some phone calls. I know, its a pain to actually have to take time out of your life to make unneccessary phone calls...I will say it again..how hard is it to place an envelope (already stamped) into a mailbox..grrrr

Im in the same boat and Im pissed.. I mean how hard is it to get up and drop an envelope, that already has a stamp on it in the mail... I dont think Im going to call.. If I dont hear back from them its a no to me

I would just call and get it out of the way. I know I'm going to have to do the same thing. We've had plenty of functions and it never fails, FH always end up having to call or e-mail about half of his family and just about ALL of his friends. It $ucks but ya gotta do it. I already have a list ready with names, numbers & e-mail addresses and we plan on calling 3 days after the rsvp date.

This is what my friend's Mom told me to do. She said she's done a lot of even planning and you can't chase people, once the numbers are in then you need to politely explain to the tardy responders that you're finalized things with the hall. I wish I hadn't made the response date so close to the RH's final head count date... I just didn't anticipate this, I guess...

I have about 29 outstanding & my rsvp date is in 2 weeks. I plan to call people cause I'll freak out if they show up because people assume 'you knew we were coming' !!

Get on the phone and start calling ask your family to help too if they can. Hound and Harrass people with whether they are coming or not.
My family never RSVP's they just assume that I know they are coming since they are family.
