What do you do

What do you do

ok, I could possibly be in a dilemma- I am still on the fence with my hair for the wedding, and I have been toying with getting another trial by someone else. What happens if I like the second one better than the first- how do you tell the other stylist you don't need them for the wedding anymore??? I am so torn- do I not even bother with the 2nd trial?? HELP!! I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and feel bad b/c I was excited at first but the more I think about it, the style is just not me

First of all I'm sure that stylists have had people tell them that they don't need them anymore. It's a business and you will have people who love your work and will go with you and other's that won't. I don't think you should feel bad in telling the stylist that you will no longer require her services. I know you don't want to hurt anyone's feeling's but I don't think you will since that's the nature of their business...JMO.

Go for a trial..if you dont want to be honest you oculd always say someone got you a gift certificate to the other place!

Do what makes you happy...get a trial its your once in a lifetime! Be positive

Re: What do you do

you definitely feel like you need a different stylist? What about just asking the SAME stylist to do a 2nd trial because you just don't feel like the style worked for you. I'm sure she can do more than just one hairdo, and she'd understand. i mean - it's your hair, your big day. Plus i'm sure you'll be paying her for it

But... if you DO feel like you wanna try another stylist then go for it. It's no good for you to feel as tho you're just 'settling' when you know you want better. It'll be a shame to cancel with the first stylist, but what are ya gonna do? If i really didn't like it, then I'd definitely cancel, but do it nicely.

I had to cancel my make up artist after I went for a second trial because it just wasn't going to work out, that is all I said when I called too, they don't ask questions it was what it was.

I had a situation like that with a violinist. I ended up just telling the first one that we decided to use a family friend. Little white lies never hurt anyone!! And hopefully they think...ohh ok, you're going with a family friend, I won't be offended.

I hate thinking I'm hurting someone's feelings too.

I would agree having a second trial done...though we don't want to hurt people's feelings its your one day and you don't want to be unhappy and be upset with all your photos....

I wasn't completely satisfied with my first makeup trial so I had a trial with another one. I decided to book the 2nd artist so I called the first one and told her that 'I decided to go in another direction' and I thanked her for her time.
