What do you do...

What do you do...

with a 10-year old nephew? I feel like he's too old to be a ring-bearer but too young to be a jr. usher. Do you think I can just have him escort the flower girls?

my nephew will be 8 by the time we get married
is that to old for a ring-bearer?

what about having him carry one of those 'here comes the bride' signs?

I don't think that is too old for a RB in my opinion. I am not a fan of toddlers who can't walk/don't know what's going on in BP's so I guess that is why I feel that way. You can always have him do something else, not part of the BP, like other posters have said such as an escort or something.

Yea, I don't think he's too old to be a RB either. If you think it's too old though, maybe he can just hand out programs, and the bubbles (or whatever you're using after ceremony).

We have 5 nephews, we tried to incorporate all of them. The two that are 9 and 10, will be handing out the programs. The other two will be almost 3 at the wedding, are the ring bearers. And another at 16 is a GM.

I think he can be a ring bearer! If you want him to be a Junior Groomsman he could do that also! Or just make him an 'honored guest' with a boutinerre (sp?) and a suit and you could always have him walk the flower girls orrrrr you could have him hold one of these signs and do something cute like that!

I'm glad I'm not the only one putting them to work! My cousins are Groomsmen/Junior Groomsmen (but no one told them!!!) and they will have jobs the day of. Danfords has a screwed up parking and we were going to hire valet but after watching valet it turns into more of a headache for the guests so the hour before the ceremony (since not too many people will be pulling into the marina) they will be greeting the cars in the 2 respective parking lots, asking if they are here for the Mordhorst wedding and taking care of their parking, etc. We don't want them to pay for parking but we don't want them to wait forever for valet because they have to take the cars so far cause of port jeff meters so that's one job they are assisting with. My cousin Joe is always in everyone's business, he's like my grandfather and he's thus taken the title 'the chief' or the supervisor. I'm actually going to put him (and not one of my super crafty bms) in charge of making sure everything in RH is perfect.

Think about how to use your wedding party's talents.
Sorry for the ultra long post!

I don't like 10 is too young to be a Jr. GM. My Jr. Gm will be 12 and my Jr. BM will be 10.

my cousin is going to be my jr GM and he will 10 at the time of the wedding, i do have his sister as a jr BM though.

my jr GM was my brother's ring bearer when he got married last year, but he is on the smaller side, so you can do whatever you want
