What do you do for pop ups?

I think I got rid of my virus here but now I keep getting pop ups. What to do?

OS= Operating System, i.e., windows

are you on XP?

This happened to us and none of those programs worked. We had to wipe out our whole hard drive and start over. Best Buy did it for us.

I have slimbrowser on my computer. So instead of using internet explorer (King of the pop ups) or Netscape, I use this as my browser. I get '0' pop ups because the program has its own pop up blocker.

I had the same problem a few months ago but best buy didn't do it for us My father in law did. he wiped out the whole hard drive and started it over.

When it gets bad, I think this is the only thing that gets rid of it.

if u have windows xp
please go to windows update and install service pack 2..

in addition, go download the google toobar

both together is unstopable

Alas... but if you don't go out and download all that bullcrap software/games thats found on the internet (screen savers, webshots, toolbars, smiley addons, etc.) you will never get the spyare that produces these popups.

People only have themselves to blame if they get popups on their computer.

I use internet explorer and I never get popups. Never get spyware either.

it depends where you go... i stay away from those sites for that reason alone.
