What do you do if....

You registered for everything at one store(Fortunoff) and only luggage at another store(Macys). I was going to try and split it up half and half but the store that carries my lugguage doesn't carry the rest of my stuff. When my mom sends out my shower invites I don't want people to all go to macys when its just luggage. Any ideas about what I could do.

you really shouldn't put where you are registered on invites...it should be word of mouth...maybe your mom can arrange to tell some people about the luggage (ie bridesmaids or Aunt Helen, etc)

Really........? Every shower I've ever been invited to has had those registry cards inserted in the invitation (saying bride and groom are registered at .......) Some invitations have even had the store names printed on the invites.

i would just include the fortunoff info on the invites .. that way no one is disappointed. and the macy's luggage maybe someone could circulate by word of mouth. maybe it could be suggested to people who you think will get it for you? not sure about that .. but i think definitely only the fortunoff in the invites.

unless you can think of putting anything else on your registry at Macys, i agree with Sonia

I had two registries, Fortunoff, and Williams-Sonoma. I had cards from both places, and they both went into the bridal shower invitations.

Most of my gifts came from Fortunoff, a few were from Williams-Sonoma, and some weren't from the registries at all.

I don't think it's poor taste to put registry info on or in the invitations. I think people appreciate being told about the registries, because it helps them choose a gift for you.

Why would someone be offended? Unless you registered at Tiffany's and there was nothing on your list less than $500!
