I drink wine as well! I wish I could sneak in a cigarette but I am too scared I am going to mess up my quit!

Re: What do you do to cope...
I haven't been on the TTC bandwagon long enough to have a 'coping plan' but last month when I got AF during our vacation, I used that as a license to PIG OUT and ride all the crazy rides I was (secretly)hoping I might not be able to
But then again I truly do NOT need a reason to eat.. hence the 25lb weight gain since our wedding

Ooh you lucky girl, getting to go to Disney as a 'daytrip'
But it is tough going there when you are TTC or really wanting to start a family. I had posted on another thread here about it - there was one moment when we were at the Magic Kingdom that I got really sad when I saw a wee little newborn, and so did Anthony. BUT overall we were OK
Now if I can just kick this whole 'let me pig out whenever I'm sad' thing.. I might do myself some good!

I eat lots of chocolate. This week I had Cold Stone. I had alcohol. Sushi on Friday. I wanted a cigarette but DH would kill me.

Re: What do you do to cope...
I told DH leave me along if I have a cigarette...even though I know I shouldnt. I just cant hear it from him on top of getting AF. Plus he knows I dont smoke regularly anymore and as soon as I even thought I was PG I wouldnt have any or any wine.
Deb have you gained weight since you quit? I quit January so I really shouldnt even have 1 but I do...
Felicia - I need to start losing weight but I just cant seem to do it! Nothing fits me anymore!!!

Yes...then when I went to my RE I STILL got yelled out for smoking..then I got yelled at for the weight I gained when I quit. I was sooooo pisssed at him for not being a little more positive with my quit but I decided that I don't care. Yes I gained weight. But between quitting and the fertility drugs and depression and TTC gaining a few pounds is honestly the lest of my worries.

I had (have) serious issues with my weight so this is about ready to push me over the edge (this on top of not smoking and TTC). I have been at a good weight for several years now but as of right now I'm at my heaviest...ugh I can't stand it! But I guess it is better than being less then 90 lbs which is what I was. But still - I seriusly just told my DH I HAVE to go back to smoking so I can lose weight.

Re: What do you do to cope...
I quit smoking 2 years ago, but have one once in a while. Since the m/c, I have had 2.
Since I thought I was pg, I went off weight watchers (gotta get back on - no excuse anymore!)
Since the m/c, I drink again.
Since the m/c and before I can start trying again, we are going to California (including Napa), New Orleans, and a cruise to Alaska.
I figure these are all things I want to do before we try again, and they all fit into my time line... ha ha ha. Man plans and God laugsm but hey, I can try....

Re: What do you do to cope...
Can I say what I do to cope due to the fact that I DONT get my period? I know it sounds odd but I have the opposite problem. We have a hard time even trying at all because I dont get a period. I get about 4 per year
I too smoke, which I know I have to stop.
I eat wayyyyyyy to much junk food.
I drink excessive amounts of coke.
Probably the worst things that I can do but in my eyes it consoles me and I figure if I cant even 'try' why be good? I know its a horrible way of thinking but its all I can do to get me through the day without breaking down. I am sure you ladies know exactly how i feel.

Re: What do you do to cope...
I just read this and although I am expecting, my DH and I did something really fun when we were trying...every month that AF showed up we did something that we wouldn't be able to do if we had conceived (i.e. one time we went to a fabulous wine tasting event!). It was his idea and it was really great!
