get a cat!!! Well, it won't help keep them out, but cats really seem to love to catch them! LOL

Re: What do you do to keep crickets out?
YES! I have a cat and she just watches them and then I catch them! But my last cat used to eat them! She would tear their legs off and eat their torso. We would find the legs!
We have had a problem with bugs in the house since we moved in- mostly spiders and crickets. We bought those bug things that you plug in the wall and we put them in outlets in the downstairs of our home. It seems to work- the crickets have disappeared from the house and the spiders are fading away, although slowly. We're also getting a new front door in a few weeks. We think the bugs are getting in from under the door, as it is the original door and poorly insulated. Good luck...

Re: What do you do to keep crickets out?
We have a cricket too! He's somewhere in the walls I think. We haven't seen him, just hear him.We went to Home Depot tonight because we had found that a roll of toilet paper under the sink had some chew marks and shredded spots!
I thought it was from mice, though there were no droppings and it didn't quite look like mice chews. But what else could it be?We were asking about traps vs poisons and the guy mentioned that it's the time of year that mice get in, it could even be a CRICKET! I asked him if they chew something like toilet paper and he said yes!!! So thankfully, it's probably just a cricket, not mice, since we have no other signs.
He also said that crickets can squeeze their bodies and get under little areas like under a door, and that he's had them as late as November but they do die off. He also said that any good bug spray like Raid will help. He suggested to spray behind the toilet, behind and under the vanity (because ours is in the bathroom right now).

Re: What do you do to keep crickets out?
Cricket/Mouse update - it was a mouse! Ewwww. This morning it was a dead mouse in the trap. At least it worked. We used the old fashioned wood-base traps. DH set out another one in the same place, and more downstairs. Hopefully this was the only mouse and he just recently got in, as we haven't seen ANY other signs of mice in the house. Now to search for where he's getting in and block that.

Ewww ... a dead mouse. That is the only reason I like having a cat!
