What do you do when...

family and/or friends buy you gifts to be used at your wedding and 'it's not your taste'?

Do you use it anyway?
or
Come up with an excuse?

I say come up with an excuse, I am not spending all this money on a wedding just to have some plastic bride and groom cake topper getting on my nerves all night! Then again, I guess it depends on what it is because my Mom got me toasting flutes that I don't particularly like, but I am using them anyway. Only because I don't think the flutes are something anyone else can really see.

I think I'm stuck using it. It doesn't go with my wedding at all. I don't think she'd be angry with me, but I would feel awful not using it when she had me in mind when she bought it. (it's from on my bridesmaids.)

it's a guestbook, which is something we weren't going to do at all.

it's a cute guestbook, just not something I would buy for myself. I think the look of it is kind of informal for my wedding. And we weren't going to do a guestbook. For some reason, they remind me of wakes or I feel like we're taking attendance.
