What do you do when you get Late Cancellations!!

What do you do when you get Late Cancellations!!

I've gotten two cancellations (meaning four seats open) and I'm bummed because I tried so hard to not go over my minimum, now what do I do, can I ask people and explain that If they can come I would love it, but I understand that it's last minute....HELP!!

Meaning asking people the week before the wedding?
Honestly, I think I would be insulted if someone asked me this late in the game. I personally would not go.

Why don't you see if your hall will through in some extra stuff to make up for people not coming?

Have you counted your vendors in your total? It depends on who you ask at this stage and your relationship with them.

Do you need more invites printed?

there is nothing wrong with asking last minute people..... tell people they can bring a date

jsut do it in a respectful way
it happens
tehre is no reason to be insulted otherwise tehy may have been insulted in the first place when you didnt invite them

i think some people (not all of course) understand how much $$$$ weddings are and you cant invite everyone

You can ask your venue to throw in some extras or you can make a LIW Table and invite us.

I don't know if you invited everyone with a guest, but you could always tell some friends that a couple of seats opened up and if they would like to bring a date that would be fine.

I think the North Ritz has a cancellation policy where you only pay a % of the price pp if they don't show. You should call them and ask.

But, seriously.... did you make a B list in case this situation arose? Or, people from work. Maybe friends that did not make the intitial cut. LIW friends? Are there any single people that you can ask if they want to bring a date?
