What Do You Do When You Spelled Guest's Name Wrong?
I spelled one guest's name wrong on the invite - one letter was switched from 'L' to 'D' . Should i write to apologize?
It's FH's friend. :(
Anyone had this happen to them?

well.....you're not alone. i def spelt at least one person's name wrong. i haven't figured out yet what i'm going to do about it. I don't think i will write anything.....maybe next time you see them apologize in person???

No need to worry, many will correct it when they send the RSVPs...that's how I learned that one of my IL's relatives are the McCleery's not the McCleary's like they typed out for me in their spreadsheet list. All I did was make a mental note and correct it on my end...and months later while doing seating, my FIL still spelled it wrong until I said to him that the new way was correct.

Don't worry about it but make sure the place card (if you using them) is correct as well as the thank you letter.

my name was addressed as Trisha for FH's cousin's wedding when it's Tricia. People do it all the time.

if i could only tell you the spelling I get for my name, most recently I got an invite from FI's friend for her bridal shower addressed like this:
Shibon Fi's last name
my name is spelled Siobhan and that's not my last name yet
it never bothers me, I laugh at it.
I don't think people will care if they're down to earth. If I knew about it, I might say something in person when I see then- like oh I realized your name was spelled wrong after I had the invites addressed, sorry!

It happened to me a few times, but they corrected it on the response cards, so when I do the place card settings, I'll make sure to correct it then
