Re: What do you give for a Communion?
depends on how close you are to the people
I give a 100 or 150 bond or I buy a jewelry item for around 75 or so
I think most people do a 100.00 bond from what I hear

Re: What do you give for a Communion?
go with the bond. whatever you can afford, either 50 or 100. get a EE bond, they are half the face value and then mature to face plus interest in 18 years.

Re: What do you give for a Communion?
FH's cousin's confirmation is coming up and we're not able to attend. We sent a $100 check. I imagine a confirmation gift would be equivalent to a communion gift?

I usually give a $50 bond which only costs $25. Or you can give a cross or some time of religious medal or medallion.

Re: What do you give for a Communion?
I'd give probablly a $100 bond ($50) More if it was close family like a niece. For my cousin's, I gave her a precious moment scross which is about $25. Fh and I were both in college at the time and that was what we could afford, plus I wanted to get her something personal
For my communion I got mostly bonds and cash and some jewelry and personal items from close family. You can also get a small personal item for the person, so it's fun. I mean for an 8 year old, money isn't that exciting. I also got my cousin this little suncatcher which was $6. it made rainbows on your walls or something.
