What do you give if you didn't attend the wedding?

I was invited to a co-workers wedding, but was unable to attend. What gift should I give. Someone told me around $150, but I didn't even go to the wedding! HELP

I would give $50-$100. This is around what we received from our guest who did not attend.

I am such a bad person to answer this -- everyone sayd FI and I spend way too much on gifts. For a work person I would spend $100ish if I did not go and double if I went. BUT we work in industries where that is expected. I think the advice given previously of $50-$100 depending on you relationship is right on target.
One great suggestion is if the couple has a pet charity, to donate to it. They are notified by the charity that a gift has been given but not the amount. Plus, then you are really giving something special.

I was invited to my co-worker's wedding but was unable to attend so I gave $50. I'm so bad at deciding how much to give.

As stated previously, depending on the relationship, I would give $50-$150 range. That's what we give and that is within the range that we have received gifts and gift cards.

Depends also on whether you said you weren't coming from the beginning (less) or you said you were going but didn't go for whatever reason (more).

I usually give $100 if I can't attend.

totally depends on the relationship. Someone I know and love - 100

colleague, business relationship - 50/75

I'd say either $100-150 or a gift from their registry.
