digital ownership.
Do you guys agree with the article or don't agree?
Personally I believe that if something was to happen to me I would want my husband and family to own everything that belonged to me wether is a book, a journal, whatever. That should also include if I have a website or an online journal.
Sometimes to own something from a person that passed away help us to regain some sort of closure.

that's a tough one. i wonder if you specify in your will that your next of kin is to have access to these accounts would that work?

for me personally, i have a blog, but if i died i definitely would not want my parents or husband to read it. i wouldn't really want them reading my emails either. i watch a lot of without a trace and csi and i always see them going through the missing (or dead) person's computer. i keep saying to dh if i ever go missing first thing destroy the computer. i just don't want someone nosing around in there.

but i can see the family's side of things where they'd like to have it as a memento. it's a difficult situation.

I've thought about this quite a bit, but I never realized that my family wouldn't be able to take ownership of my blog and AOL accounts.

I will have to take steps to make sure my wishes are carried out properly.

I've left a letter for my FH with all my accounts and passwords, so if something were to happen he would be able to access them.
