What do you know about the Bridal Garden?

Is it worth going to? Are the dresses current or are they from the 80's? I have an appt. this weekend and just wanted to know what to expect.

TIA

I got my girls dresses there and my mom's dress there. They were very accommodating and reasonable. At the time I was looking they had a dress I was looking for that nobody else had. It turned out I didn't go with them for my dress, but they had beautiful things and the seamstress was so good and a doll.

Good luck.

i bought my dress there, its in bethpage right. There are knew dresses there, they are very hopefully. You have to pull the dresses you like out, or you tell her what you like and she pull the dresses.

The one I am going to is in the city...I didn't know there was one in Bethpage.

Thanks ladies for the info...one more thing...are the samples in nice condition or gross?

They were in good condition...no problems. They keep everything in garment bags and zipped up.

I just found my dress there this w/e, it's like three blocks from my house. I thought they were soooo nice and really helpful. Colette helped me, but when Colette got a phone call the other woman came right over and helped me. Do you have an early appt, or afternoon. I got there around 10:45 and there was nobody in there, but by the time I was leaving it started to get a little busy.

I am glad to hear that they have current gowns...I was kinda worried. Do they have designer gowns? The woman I spoke with said they did, that the designer donates them and the $$ goes to charity...anyone know if this is true?

The one in the city is not the same as the one in Bethpage.

The Bethpage one is a normal bridal salon.

The one in the city is non-profit and has all its gowns donated from designers or past brides. I was there a few weeks ago.

It's not a huge place, but the dresses are divided out by size.

They do have great prices for designer gowns, and they are willing to negotiate with you. If you are looking for a specific gown of a designer, it may have to be last years or before.

A lot of the gowns are pre-worn though and will need to be cleaned.

i know their website looks a little dated but they really do have beautiful gowns. I tried on Vera Wang, Badgley Mischka, Henry Roth, Caroline Herrera, you name it. However, what you see is what you get. You literally leave the store with your dress that day, which I think is awesome. You don't have to worry about it not coming in on time or in the wrong size. I purchased a designer gown there for at least 50% below retail. I am very pleased with my dress and the money spent really does go to charity.
Definitely make your appointment for around 10am. I was the first one there & was able to get my hands on all of the best dresses to try on. Just an hour later people were waiting outside my dressing room to get there hands on them when I was done. Good Luck!!
