Ok...so we dont' need to do a hotel block b/c we have not that many OOTers...the ones we have, are already staying with other family. Sooo...my sister found it bizzare b/c I wasn't reserving rooms for the BP for the after party. I honestly didn't even THINK of this. She said she did this and it was a total balst... 17 years ago! LOL.
So, should I ask my BP if they would like to fork out more money for the hotel as well for a late night after party? Is anyone else doing this??

I would love to do this, but I am not blocking out any rooms. I will mention it causually to see if any one will be interested in doing it and then leaving it up to them. I feel like I can not be in charge of planning one more thing lol!

our blocked rooms are 119 for the night...and we are able to keep the bar open til 2 for an extra 100...so im not going to make the BP stay, but i think it will be fun!

i dont think it can hurt to ask them.
are you and FH staying at the hotel?
We are doing this but i have a lot of OOTers and FH and I are staying there.
we are actually planning a bowling after party but will be at the hotel after for some more drinks maybe ;)

why not ask...we dont have many oot guests but we blocked 10 rooms for us and some of our bp they said they didnt want to drive back to queens so we r going to party after the wedding..i would just ask and if some seem like they might wanna stay over then maybe u could look into blocking

I would ask teh BP before you go crazy looking to block a reasonable hotel. See if it is something they even want to do. If you are staying in the hotel they might want to otherwise they might just head home

We blocked rooms. We thought for the the oo towners but actually it turned out that the BP reserved more rooms to hang out after the Reception. I am looking forward to it, If I can stay awake after a long day!

I would leave it up to them if they want to reserve rooms. If everyone is local they may not want to but , if they just dont want to drive home, then maybe they will.
