Intelligent lighting and those fancy light shows some DJ offer? Are any of you using something like this? Do you think it's 'too much' for a wedding? Or just unnecessary? You know, they project all those shapes onto the dancefloor or they make a big to-do with lights for the BP & B/G entrance. Any comments?

Im not getting the intellgent lighting. My DJ says he'll keep the option open for us, but Jim & I find it an unnecessary expense. It's only an extra couple of hundred dollars. But that's money I can use on favors or other things. If we have money to spare then we may change our minds. He says (Music by Michael) we have up to the day of the wedding to decide.

I'm using Music by Michael also. and I'm not having any lighting. I feel that it's an added unneccessary expense, plus I don't want the DJ's lights to interfere with the 'mood' that'll be created by my rose petals and candles scattered all over the tables

I am getting the upgraded package from my DJ that includes the Intelligent Lighting because I personally don't like those colored-disco like lights.

My dj company offered something called 'dancing on a cloud' it looked so pretty so we definatly went for that. I really don't think that we are going over the top with lighting...

it's all a matter of personal preference...we didn't get it....IMO I don't find it that classy..but again to each his own..

I think light shows don't belong at weddings...fog maybe....the grand entrance of the B & G are more than enough!

We are not getting the light show. Our DJ(Music by Michael) was kind enough to tell us that if we had any one who had eppillepsy (sp.?) that it would not be a good idea. And we have 2 family members that do have it. I think some of the other DJ vendors would have not told us about that.

Jen Our DJ mentioned that to us as well. THats not a concern in our families but we decided it wasnt worth the extra money.

We got Intellilights & a snow machine & a confetti cannon & a laser show & a projection screen..... I think it's ridiculous, but FH used to be a DJ so the guy gave us alot as a professional courtesy.
I think for that one solid hour of dancing it will make it fun.
