hardwood floors are beautiful but my personal taste is more modern/contemporary, which seems to work better with carpet..

I like them both. I like the look of hardwood floors, but I like the feel and comfyness of rugs.

I like hard wood floors with area carpet or runners to add the warmth and softness of carpet.

I love hardwood floors, however we are building a house and when I see the price of hardwood floors

We loved our house when we bought it, but the carpet was worn, so we ripped it up to replace it. Then when we saw the excellent wood floors, we got them professionally done and the hardwood floors make the home look like a million bucks!!

For me, hardwood floors at the way. Every room in our house has hardwood floors, even our master bedroom, except the kitchen and bathrooms (they are tile). We decorate the rooms wiht area rugs.

I love the look of hardwood, I think it totally changes the way a house looks...however I love the feel of carpets! I grew up all my life with carpets and now have hardwood...

Tile--in the kitchen and bathroom.

Rugs--in the livingroom, dining room and over the tile in the bathroom.

Hardwood--in the common areas, with scatter rugs.

Plush carpet in the bedroom to keep my feet warm
