I need some ideas! We spend way too much time sitting on the couch watching tv and dvds on our big flatscreen tv, and it often involves having a beer or glass of wine and/or some snacks.
When we do go out, it usually involves more food/drinks (going out to dinner or occasionally going out for drinks).
What else is there to do? What do you guys like to do? (weekends especially!)
the same old thing all the time gets kind of boring, plus i'd like to get in somewhat better shape by wedding-time and sitting on the couch eating isnt the best
We've gone bowling occasionally either alone or with other friends since there's a place out by us that has a Tues night special (a pizza, a pitcher of beer, 2 pairs of bowling shoes and 2 hours of unlimited lane usage for $27) but we don't really do that on the weekends since it's so much cheaper to go on a Tues night.
We also went out to dinner tonight + ice skating which was fun! (and again, more active than sitting on the couch)
any other suggestions?

Thats funny b/c I would love to just sit on the couch! We hardly see each other anymore b/c we are both working so much so I long for those daysss!!

We live together (finally!!) and FH works 8-5pm M-F and i'm a student so I have a more flexible schedule. although, once it gets closer to finals I'll have a lot less free time...

we also love to go bowling, and carnival season is our favorite time of year. we're carnival junkies.
in the winter we play in the snow like kids, go bowling, and see a lot of movies.
in the warmer months we play a lot of minigolf and go fishing and hit up all the carnivals

Yes... video games and TV! LOL. Now that we have a DVR we watch even more tv since we can tape all of our shows, and I bought FH a PS3 as an engagement gift + we have a Wii
At least I do like playing guitar hero 3

depends....like tomorrow we are gonna go take a wlk in belmont park cause its suposed to be nice....we go paddle boating in the summer, we like to do outdoorsy stuff. In the winter we go to the city 1 or 2 times just to walk around. Spring we do gardens and stuff. We also play pool, well him these days more than me...bowling...usual stuff

As for as active things, we go hiking on the weekends, walk the dogs and yard work. On week nights we usually go to Island Rock for indoor rock climbing. Otherwise, movies, Wii, poker...

well some days we like to sit in watch movies and relax but you said you want things to do besides that lol
Saturdays we always get up in the morning and get ready and go out, if we have certain things to do such as buying a gift for an upcoming party or having to buy a certain thing we go out shopping, we go eat brunch, go tanning and a bunch of different things...Sometimes we'll have specific stores to go to so we'll hit up the city and make a day of it. I love our saturdays and we always end up having a good time and we also get errands done while we're out bc we'll fit in time for that.
Also going to the movies which we're actually doing tomorrow, we'll stop first and get something to eat. Going out for drinks, going out dancing but we dont get to do it often during the spring and summer bc he plays softball on the weekends but after labor day WOO HOO we can hahaha. We also like meeting up with friends, visiting people. And we love going out to dinner.
