What do you look for in a photographer?

Photography I believe is going to be my hardest vendor. Everything I read says to pick a photographer based on their style and how comfortable you feel with them. But all the pictures I see from different photographers look the same! They all look pretty and I'm worried I won't have the eye to tell great photos from average ones. What should I really be looking for in picking a photographer? What made you sign with your vendor?

Honestly, I felt the exact same way! A lot of photographers had photos I like, but ultimately I went with price and I just clicked with the photographer. Plus it didn't hurt that she had great reviews on here.

Besides their work being amazing, you want to click with their personality and feel comfortable with them. You'll know when you start meeting with photographers.

When I met with mine we really clicked off the bat. I was very comfortable with her and very pleased with the pictures I saw. I had met a few others and even though the pictures were nice, I didn't have that feeling with them.

What do you look for in a photographer?

We met with five or six different photographers, some less and some more expensive than the one we chose. When you look at their work, especially their albums, you should be able to picture your photos and albums with their style. For instance, our photographer showed us like ten different albums, listened to what we had to say about each one (what we liked, what we didn't like) the pulled out an album from a book shelf and said 'this is you' and it 100% was exactly what we would want. I'd definitely recommend meeting with Lighthouse. They really were able to help us figure out what we wanted. They were the first we looked at, so it really helped us see what we liked and didn't like about others.

What do you look for in a photographer?

I'm looking for personality, style, album quality, price, and turn around time for proofs :)

go to ada studio facebook and view there photos each photographer has there own folder so you can decide on who you like. that's what we did, and we went with ada studio and picked Aida!
