as far a clothes??

We had 2 'dress up' nights where I wore a dress one night and a pants suit the other. the rest of the cruise was pretty casual but no jeans in the dinning room!! Of course a bathing suit or 2, shorts, t-shirts, robe, slippers!!

some cruises supply you with a hair dryer, I would find out from the cruise line if they are in the rooms. It will leave more room in your suit case for other stuff!!

I was thinking maybe a couple of nice summer dresses. Can you think of anything else?

We are going to go on the Carnival Cruise to Bermuda.

Just make sure that you have some nice things to wear in the dinning room. There were no shorts or t-shirts allowed on the cruise that we went on.

Sundresses are fine! For the Dress up nights you might want to get something a little more formal. Also, check for the hubby...he will proberly need a suit if not at least a sports jacket!

Most 7 day cruises have 2 formal nights so bring at least one (preferably two) nice dresses.

Bring as many bathing suits as you own.

Bring flipflops.

Bring lots of Tshirts.

If you workout, they usually have great gyms so bring workout clothing.

Bring a few books to read by the pool.

Bring a camera and lots of film.

Be prepared if you got to Bermuda & stay on the island...it's expensive and the only real way to get around is by moped!

How long will you be on the island for?

Bug Spray....I got eaten alive....30-40 bites all over my legs one night (I was wearing a skirt). Thank goodness the infirmary had cortizone creme...the itching was awful.

Two major things that I haven't seen mentioned...

1. A beach bag of some sort - for your days on land especially

2. A wrap of some sort...if you're like me, you're cold a lot, and I find the ship to be pretty chilly. I wore long pants more than I thought I would because the ship was so cold!

Good thing you said that. The bugs love me too.
I could be standing outside with 20 people and be the only one being attacked.
I heard that we should stay away from the mopeds because so many people get killed on them.

I went on a little cruise several years ago out of Florida and I didn't get seasick.Someone told me that the NY waters are much rougher.

Make sure you make a detailed list of anything you might need - suntan lotion, medications, things for sunburn, shampoo etc. B/c Once you are on that boat it can be VERY expensive to buy what you forget.

OH make sure you bring a sweater or wrap to bring to dinner since they usually have the air conditioner up quite high
