What do you notice the most at other weddings?

I'm bored and waiting for FH to eat so I thought I'd ask a question.

My answer would be the gown, centerpieces, and menus.

Before I was engaged: Noticed mainly the locale and the vows -- what they said, if they cried, if what they said touched me.
Now: DETAILS --> flowers, napkins and linens, bathroom baskets, bride's entire outfit...you name it I am obsessing.
Many of you know FI and I went to friend's wedding a few weeks ago and there were four engaged couple and three singles at the table we were seated at and it was hysterical because each of the BTB picked up on something one was CP, another menu, another silverware and made a comment so that one of the singles said, you are all engaged right? It is like when you start looking to buy a house -- you start noticing details of houses. I hope this makes sense.

The food, drinks and the music at all has to be good. I think without these the wedding is boring and you leave the wedding starving

i am not an '05'er but i saw this topic and had to post. i have been to 2 weddings in the last 2 years and its funny b/c at the first one, the wedding was aug 2002 i honestly did not notice much about the flowers or other things that you normally would notice at a wedding. however, i went to a wedding last feb at east wind and i noticed everything from the bride's shoes to the dj to everything in-between. of course, i went to this wedding a few months after we got engaged.

Yup all of them! These are the most important things to me too!

ETA: Can I just say that before I came on here I had no idea what 'bathroom baskets' were...you guys are a wealth of knowledge. Way too advanced for my guests...I've never been to a wedding with a bathroom basket!

Yup all of them! These are the most important things to me too!

Music and food are always the most important to me. Now the decorations too! And what woman doesn't notice the gown.

Gown, food, and all the little details. I know some people say it is a waste to spend effort on the details, but I do think some people notice them. To me, the more creative the bride is (such as with a theme), the more fun!

Pre-engagement, I noticed the ballroom, the Bride's dress, BM dresses, and music. If anything was spectacular, I noticed. Now, post-engagement, I notice all of the above plus flowers, favors, tuxes, veils, and programs.
