FH and I will probably postpone our 'honeymoon', until later in the year to save money (we are paying for our own wedding). I was thinking that after the wedding we should maybe retreat to a nice Bed and Breakfast for a few days so we can spend some alone time after the wedding and spend only a few hundred dollars instead of a few thousand on the honeymoon. Think that's a good idea, or should we just not spend anything and save it for the real'honeymoon', which will probably be late September, early October.

I think you are going to need the break. I think the bed and breakfast idea is a great one. Try to work a massage into the mix too! You are going to need it after all the wedding plans!!
It will ultimately be like 2 honeymoons!

Great idea! Plus, it's early in Spring, so you should be able to find some innexpensive places! I recommend Cape Cod!

I think a B&B is a great idea. They are so relaxing and cozy not to mention romantic. There are some cute ones in Vermont and depending on when you go you might get to see the leaves changing color.

We're doing the 2 get-aways as well. The weekend of the wedding, we're going to Newport, RI to see the cottages and relax. That winter we're going to the Bahamas!

we are doing that. we are taking our honeymoon in october ~ mainly because it will give us time after the wedding to get settled in and back to our 'normal' lives and also save up more for honeymoon, also we are going to vegas and it will be much cooler in oct than in july!!
we are taking 3 days after the wedding and going somewhere though just to get away for a little retreat!!!

I think it is an excellent idea. Just a few days to get away, and then down the road say for your one year anniversary, plan a Very nice trip!
