My father passed away 5 years ago...and I will not be able to have the traditional father/daughter dance. I want to dance with my mom, and have fallen in love with the version of Over the Rainbow by Kat from American Idol. Do you think that would be silly to dance to? I am kind of looking at it like it can also be in memory of my dad as well

Do what ever you want! I'm just going to ignore the whole thing....Both of my parents have passed away.
I would cry, that is beautiful. And a fully appropriate song.

It doesn't matter what anyone may say or think. All that matters is that you and your mom have your special dance together and I'm sure your father wll be with you spirt. I never heard the song so I have no idea whats it sounds like. I'm not an american idol fan personally.
