Save the Dates as a Christmas greeting...my mom thinks its a great idea and is pushing for me to send them...I'm not sure though, what do you think??

i'm afraid to send anything wedding related out around christmas b/c i'm worried it might get lost in the card/gift shuffle.
obviously, unless your date is such that christmas time is the best / only time to do it, i would be wary.

I would probably do it end of Nov or early Dec.-usually I think you are supposed to send them out 8 months to a year in advance.

Yeah, I think you should send them out sooner, I already sent mine out and I am getting married in August!

Since it's not a holiday weekend, you can get away with sending it less than 6-9 months out. You can wait until after the new year when everyone has their 2007 calendars up.

I think it's a nice idea but have to agree with the other girls here. I wouldn't wait that long and with the holiday shuffle they might go MIA.

i'd be careful b/c you don't want it to get lost with all the other christmas cards. if you sent it out so they arrived in the first week of december, you can send it out as early christmas cards. they'll get them before the rush of mail.
either that or the new years thing someone ^ mentioned.
