Re: What do you think?
If he is only giving you six hours, he may miss some important shots like cake cutting which is done at the end.

I agree-six hours is not a lot in the scheme of things. I want some shots of us getting ready, pictures before hand, and then the entire wedding.

Hmm I see your point. However my entire wedding from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception is only 5 1/2hrs long...so it may be cutting it close,b ut I think it will be ok.

Re: What do you think?
A MAJOR portion of pics are taken before the ceremony. Not so much getting ready, but you and you maids, your family, posing takes a chunk of time (I used to be a photographer) You may have to miss cocktail hour to get your fill of pics.
Is your photographer digital?

Good point. No he is not digital. But I wouldnt mind giving up the cocktail hour in order to get the pics I want before hand.

Re: What do you think?
Who are you using?
You are getting married on my mom's b day!
Might I suggest planning your poses ahead of time. For example, start with less people and add more for group shots. Pick easy poses that are not time consuming. If you are having 2 photographers, and 1 is taking pics of you and your hubby have the other one posing the rest of the bp so you can just walk into another shot.

Actually I am using a company called Photo/Video network. Your advice is good, I will take it all into account when I get married.
BTW: happy early bday to ur mommy!

No, they will take pictures continually for the 6hrs and if I want to purchase more photos I can do that after the wedding.

Re: What do you think?
My friend used photo/video network and her pictures came out great! The photographer took a lot of pictures and he made sure to get all the important shots. My friend actually had to tell him that she didn't want to pose anymore for pictures.
