what do you think...

I've seen it done in magazines and was thinking of getting some branches of James' story orchids or just branches in general and from the branches hanging place cards cut out in the shapes of leaves in fall colors. will it be too hard for the guests to find their names or is this a good idea?

I was actually thinking about doing that but I was worried about them finding their names as well.
Are you having alot of guests? If your guest list is on the small side it probably wont be a problem.

min is 200...actually we can do 180 but we are paying the same as 200...so in between those 2 numbers.

Hmm.. what about getting a couple branches and having less leaves on each branch. That way the leaves wont be too hard to find.

i think its tricky and an all or nothing sort of thing.

i was thinking of doing it as a my wishing well. they would write their wish or advice for us on a leaf and hang it on the tree.

i think if all the names are in alphabetical order and each table has it's own color it may work

I too think it will take alot of time for the guests to find their names...especially since your guest list is so large. You don't want them spending too much time during CH looking for their place card...you want them eating and drinking...

I LOVE the idea of the branches and leaves ... I suggest doing a decorative piece with the branches and leaves for your placecard table, but having the actual names displayed on the table so the guests can find easily.
