i dont see anything wrong with that. In an ideal world, yes you would have a house before you had kids. DH and I always planned to have a house before we had kids but should God bless us before that then we of course would welcome a baby with open arms

apt or house... more importantly... I want to he home with my kids. I think it's so important. If the only way I can do that financially is from an apt.. then so be it

I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but I would try and buy the house before my first child started school. I always liked the fact that I was lucky enough to grow up in the same school district my entire life and still keep in touch with my friends from first grade. I'd like to do the same thing for my kid so I'm hoping to find THE house or at least the ideal area before my child starts school. Preferably though, I'd like a house before any children and since I don't want to start a family until my late 20's, I have seven years to hopefully get things together.
