Re: What do you think about bathroom baskets?
I don't think they're necessary at all. I know when I go somewhere like a wedding, I bring my own safety pins, mints, etc. It can add a nice touch though. So if you have the $$$ and time, and want to provide them, go for it. But if not, don't feel like you're depriving your guests.
Also, if your hall does more than 1 wedding at a time, you may want to see if a wedding will be going on at the same time as yours and if the guests will share a bathroom. That's the case at my hall.

I think they are a waste, but that is just my opinion

We're not doing them. It's a nice touch but not necessary. Truthfully like one of the above posters stated I normally will have any needed items in my clutch.

I think most people would carry what they need with them. Maybe a small basket with feminine products and hairspray, but I can't think of anything else. Completely unnecessary in my opinion!

Re: What do you think about bathroom baskets?
I personaly dont think its necessary. If you are the only wedding at the place and you want to add a little somthing extra its nice. But in the end no one will notice either way. If there is more then one wedding I think its a waste because the other wedding guests may use your stuff before your guests even get to see it or use it.

Re: What do you think about bathroom baskets?
Decision made!! Thanks ladies -- no bathroom baskets for us!! Just wanted to see if it's something most people put together, and I'm thinking it's not necessary either -- one less thing to do -- woo-hoo!!

Re: What do you think about bathroom baskets?
We are doing them but only for practical reasons, our RH doesn't really provide much beyond toilet paper and hand soap. So it was something that I knew I would appreciate if I were a guest, but I didn't go crazy. Just some basic things and better soap!

THANK YOU ladies for posting what I think too !
I have never used anything from a bathroom basket, I usually carry a limited amount of anything I might need. Just feel that they are a waste of time to put together, not to mention an unnecessary expense.

Re: What do you think about bathroom baskets?
We didn't do it. The RH had a basket there with essential items. Something that may help you make your decision is, will there be more than one function going on at your hall at the same time as your wedding. If there is remember that they too will be using it.

See now I was going to do it! LOL only bc our bathrooms are small and they are beach club bathrooms so there aren't anything special at all I thought it would be a nice touch to ad something to it....

Only one event at my RH, but I still don't want to do a bathroom basket. If any of the women might have a need for something, I'll have my bridal emergency kit in the suite.
If you want to add something special, ask your florist if he would throw in a small arrangment for the bathroom. A rose blossom floating in a bowl with some rose petals is a nice touch, and not expensive if the florist charges you for it.

I guess I'm one of the few who thinks it is an extra added touch of hospitality to offer the guests, oh well!
I don't plan on going overboard, but will definitely have bathroom baskets.
They've come in handy for me as a guest once or twice.

Re: What do you think about bathroom baskets?
I insisted on doing them--- spent a FORTUNE on them and they were something I dont think anyone really cared about... My reception was at a hotel and i think every guest ion the hotel pilfered thru them... b/c when I went to the bathroom later on they were destroyed....
