I really really want yellow cake with cannoli filling. I just found out today that my RH is able to provide this. Cannoli is my absolute favorite, FH can care less , he's not into sweets. I have never been to a wedding where they actually served this. And I know that this is not everyone's favorite, but I don't really care it's mine. Is that bad?

its not bad but i would think about you vs. how many guests
its not particularly common i LOVE it but i know a lot of people that dont and how much of it are you going to eat

I was kicking around the idea of doing that flavor myself! I think with the yellow cake it would not be 'too much' sweet!

i'm def. doing a tier of cannolli filling. its my absolute fav and at this point i dont care what everyone else likes lol
but i've seen it at weddings before and it seems to be a big hit

My cake will be yellow cake with chocochip canolli filling. if they don't like the filling, they can eat around it!
we did get whipped cream icing instead of buttercreme or fondant though to make the cake a little 'lighter'

This may be because DH and I are both Italian, but there is cannoli filling in just about every cake we have at every party or wedding we go to, so I don't find it that uncommon. If that's what you like then you should get it! I don't think you should worry at all if some of your guests don't like it. There will be so much food that day that who cares if they don't like the filling? They can just eat around it!

FH and I are battling the cannoli deal.. so we just ordered a cake w/ cannoli cream and choc. pudding for a party next weekend just to see some reactions.. based on that we'll decide i guess..
we loveeeeeeeeeee cannoli and choc. on yellow.. it's sooo delish.. we'll see what happens!
