Great idea - and who cares what the motivation is? Just make it special and meaningful for you two - it doesn't have to be about the money!

I think you should do it! And if you make the invites yourself (cheap and easy) you can put that picture of the proposal pizza on the invite - I think that would be cute!

I think that is a wonderful idea! Who ever said that RD's had to be a fancy shmancy thing anyway! I actually think a pizza place would be great!

I think its a cute idea, but make sure you find a pizzeria that is a bit more restauarnt like than the average corner place, this would just make the dinner much more comfortable for all your guests.
